The market makers program is a project of the Bolsa Nacional de Valores that started in July of 2005. This program involves several of the country’s brokerage firms dealing in seven types of securities with the purpose of adding liquidity and establishing reference prices for these instruments. Interbolsa is one of the pioneer brokerages involved with the Market Makers program, and was the only one that registered to deal in all of the securities involved.
These securities contemplate two series of Costa Rican Treasury Securities, two of Monetary Stabilization Bonds issued by the Costa Rican Central Bank and two issues of Costa Rican Foreign Debt Bonds, with 2011 and 2020 maturity dates. Also the Atlas Eléctrica S.A common stock.
